A Month of Uncommon Instructions, Get ready!

Friend, praise the name of The Living God! I know that you are blessed and well kept of the LORD. My wife and I continue to see and experience His faithfulness and His love that truly endures forever.

This month, get ready to receive uncommon instructions from The Master. Friend, Get ready!

In Luke 5:1-7 the Bible says “And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.”

Jesus is All-Knowing

Simon and his fellow fishermen were washing their nets. They had resigned themselves to going home without a catch that night. On receiving the instruction from Jesus, they told Him, “Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing”. Perhaps under their breath they were saying, “His profession is carpentry, does He not know that we fished all night and caught nothing?” These were experienced fishermen. They had done all they could and had caught nothing! Indirectly, they were telling Him, “we have failed tonight; it’s one of those bad nights for us Jesus”. Today one would put it this way, “the economy is bad”, “business is not doing well”, “I have not sold anything the whole day”, “employers are retrenching and many people are being laid off”. “Banks are not lending”, “the stock market is not doing well” etc etc. Friend, Jesus is All-Knowing. He knew what the fishermen had gone through and He had the solution for them. Jesus knows everything you are going through right now and believe it or not, He has the solution for everyone of them. Friend, God knows everything. He knows your down sitting and your uprising, (Psalm 139:2) and He has a plan for you! His plans for you are not for evil but for good, to give you a future and an expected end.

Launch out into the deep

Jesus told Simon, “Launch out into the deep.” Friend, this month some of the instructions you will receive from God may not be logical according to your experience or teaching BUT receive and obey the instruction anyhow. Jesus gave them the instruction in daytime; but fishing is done at night. This did not making sense to these experienced fishermen. But Peter said “Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net”. Do not try to analyze any instruction you receive from the Master. He knows the end in the beginning and any instruction He gives is for our good. In man’s opinion, the current economy is not doing well – God may give you an instruction to invest; you need to obey! He may give you an instruction regarding your ministry and send you to a place that according to your reasoning is a “hard” place; just obey! It may be in respect to your class work, just obey! Peter and his friends launched into the deep and there was a great catch. The Bible records that the boats were almost sinking! Friend, this was the same sea that they had caught nothing in for the whole night. The principle here is, the sea does not matter, it is the instruction that matters. You may be on the same job, in the same country, with the same income, with the same educational level…none of these matters. What matters most is the instruction that God has given to you. I pray that God will cause you to hear His voice, receive His instruction and may He grant you the grace to perform that which He tells you to do.

Toiled all the night

Peter told Jesus, “Master, we have toiled all the night”. Their toiling ceased when they obeyed the instruction of the Master. I do not know what has been causing you to toil and even have sleepless nights. I declare to you, one instruction from the Master will cause your toiling to cease. I pray that you will hear the instruction of God Almighty. Jesus said in ‘John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”. Friend, the key to relief from toiling is hearing and obeying the Lord’s voice. Proverbs 23:18 declares “many are the plans of a man but it is the counsel of God that will prevail”. I pray that God may fill you with a passion and desire to hear His voice and obey it in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

A great multitude of fishes

The Bible records that “they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.” Friend, what God has for you, as you heed to His instructions to you, is beyond what you can even think or imagine. 1 Corinthians 2:9 says “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” In fact, God has a net sinking miracle in store for you. The psalmist also says, in Psalms 139:17, “How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!. If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, [could I count to the end] I would still be with You” (TAB). Jeremiah then admonishes us to call on God so that we may receive from God what He has for us. Jeremiah 33:3 says “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand)” (TAB). May you partake of all that the Lord has in store for you in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

All the glory be unto God

Luke 5:8 records “But Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” As all the instructions that we get materialize into miracles and testimonies, may we be careful to give God all the glory in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. May the revelation of the greatness of God and our inadequacies be very clear to us in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. May all that will happen cause us to be hooked unto Jesus Christ for the rest of our lives in Jesus Faithful Name, Amen.

Friend, “In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he will direct thy paths.” Be expectant!

Blessings,
