A Month to Remember Missionaries

Friend, Praise the Lord! I know that the Lord, who has kept you thus far, has a blessing for you. My wife and I are well and continue to remain grateful for His mercies and His goodness towards us.

This Month, I urge you to Remember Missionaries. Yes, if you can, get together with some friends and thank God for the missionaries all over the world. As you are aware, many of them are operating in secret, in underground Churches and undisclosed places, Let us remember them in our prayers this month.

The Bible says…

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Mathew 18:19. We are further told…Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Mathew 28: 19-20

Friend, from the above scriptures it is very clear that God desires that all of us be partakers of this commandment. We are all called to make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them and Jesus has promised to be with us till the very end of the age.
Given that not all of us can be in the ministry full time, it is my prayer that we take time this month and pray for those that are on the mission field. Let us pray for the following:-

Revelation of the Word & that More Missionaries will arise

We decree that God will make His word clear to all that are in the mission field. Father, we pray that these dear ones will see the wonders out of the word. Their path in the scripture will grow brighter and brighter to the fullness of day. We pray that they will be grounded in the Word and will be able to lead people in the truth of the Word. God we ask that you place in the hearts of your people the desire for mission work in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Where some are still undecided whether to go on mission or not, Father remove every fear and fill them with faith and favor in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
(Psam119:18)

Divine Protection/Angelic protection

Father, we pray for all the missionaries that “When they pass through the waters, You will be with them; and when they pass through the rivers, the rivers will not sweep over them. When they walk through the fire, they will not be burned; the flames will not set them ablaze”. Father this is our cry and we pray that this will be true of every one of them in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
(Isaiah 43:2)

Strength

Father, when Nehemiah was encouraging the Israelites, he indicated that “The Joy of the Lord is Our Strength”. Father, we ask that you strengthen the missionaries. Let them experience the joy of the Lord which only You only can give. Father, where they are almost despairing and giving up, fill them with your joy in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
(Nehemiah 8:10)

God’s guidance

Dear Father, you indicate that those who walk with you will hear you and receive guidance. We pray for all the missionaries to receive divine guidance in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Your Word declares And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. God, continually guide them, direct them and lead them in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
(Isaiah 30:21)

Success / Provisions

Father, unless you build a house, the builders labor in vain. Father, in Jesus Mighty Name, let the work of the missionaries be graced with success. Father, You who opens doors, You who saves, You who delivers, grant them uncommon success in Jesus Mighty name, Amen. Let signs and wonders follow their utterances in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. God, enable them to reach places that have never been reached, open doors that have never been opened in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. God, where the rules and laws of the country have been prohibitive, annul them and grant that their mission work will have free course in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.  God we also ask that you meet the needs of each missionary in Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
(Psalm 127:1)

Powers/Principalities/Rulers

God we believe your Word that states that “Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. God, we therefore render powerless every force of darkness, every power, principalities and rulers of dark places that are fighting and hindering the work of the missionaries. Father, we decree an alignment of all the forces of nature to be in accordance with your will in every area where missionaries are this day in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
(Philippians 2:9)

Families

Father, Your Word says, “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered” God, for each missionary, Father please bless them. Bless their families especially; bless their spouses and children with uncommon peace. Father, let their children be a blessing to them and should they end up being raised in a foreign environment, God let your face shine towards them in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
(Proverbs 11:25)

Lord, this season, place this burden for missionaries in our hearts. Strengthen us so that we may be able to pray for them and use us to be a blessing to mission work in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Friend, thank you for interceding on behalf of these dear missionaries who labor for the Lord. God bless and keep you in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.

Remain Blessed,

Bro Chester
