A Month of Completion Praise the Lord. I am confident that the Lord has kept you and that your faith, though tested, continues to increase in this land of the living. My wife and I are fine and continue to learn more and more about our God who is full of wonders. As I was preparing this month’s message, the Lord placed in my heart that this a Month of Completion and the following scriptures came to mind. “When you pass through the waters I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:2) “Surely there is a future, and your hope will not be cut off.” (Proverbs 23:18) Friend, the Spirit of God declares that what God has in store for you will not be destroyed. There may be waters that have arisen, floods that are raging, yes floods that seek to destroy you, to annihilate you. But God says you will not go down with the floods, no you shall not drown. Rather, every flood that is coming to destroy you shall be your stepping-stones to greater and higher heights in Jesus Precious Name. God declares that your hope, your expectation, will not be cut off. Friend, God says those uncommon visions He has given to you and those unusual ideas and projects He has birthed in your heart shall not be stolen by the enemy but they shall come to fruition in Jesus Mighty Name. The Word of God declares “He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands achieve no success. He takes the wise in their own craftiness; and the schemes of the wily are brought to a quick end.” (Job 5: 12-13). Friend, every plan, every device, every weapon, that is being used against you shall not succeed. Just as Haman’s plans against Mordecai and the Jews were thwarted, so shall it be for those who seek to destroy you. The enemy may be whispering to you that “your sickness is unto death and that you will never live to see your children grow up” or perhaps that “you will never be able to pay your bills and that your house or property will be taken away” or that “you will never marry and that if you do, you will soon be divorced”…. He may be directing those floods, these rivers your way hoping that you will buy into the lies, be overwhelmed and then begin to believe them. The devil is a liar. The Word of The Living God is saying, “This is your season of completion”. Whatever you have laid your hands on, with God’s blessing, will prosper and no device of the enemy will terminate your destiny. Everyone that has ever tried to terminate the destiny of God’s children has failed. Ahab tried it on Elijah but failed. Saul on David but failed, Joseph’s brothers and even Portipher’s wife tried it on Joseph but to no avail. If God be for you, who can be against you!!. In the Book of Daniel 3:22, the Bible, talking about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego says, “Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flames of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego”. The fire burned those that threw these men in but the three Hebrew boys never even got burned. Our God who did it for the three Hebrew children, is the same. He changeth not, He is no respecter of persons. What He did for them He will do for you. Every plan to destroy, to burn, tarnish your reputation, your integrity, your testimony and bring it to ashes, but God says, “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” (Isaiah 54:17). You will complete the assignment that God has for you in life in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Friend, you will not just complete your destined assignment, but God will give you the necessary strength and wisdom to complete it God’s way so that He may say, “well done good and faithful servant” May the spirit that was on Caleb, that spirit to complete, to finish whatever he started be on us. Yes, may that spirit which made him to declare “give me this mountain…” (Joshua 14:12) be upon us this season in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. In Biblical terminology, seven is the number of “completion”, therefore we destroy the spirit of procrastination in every area of our personal lives, our household, ministry or in our Church in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. Let us pray. Holy Spirit, thank you for leading us into all truth concerning Christ’s assignment for our lives. Lord Jesus, like Paul, we desire to say at the end of it all. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” 2 Timothy 4:7. Father, give us the strength to withstand the waters that the enemy wants to drown us in and the flames and fires that the adversary wants to use to consume us. Father, thank you for your promise that you will be with us till the very end of age. Father, this season, open our eyes and show us that which you desire us to see and direct us to do that which you would want us to do so that we may be able to complete this race of life with joy. Lord Jesus, make us great “Finishers” that we may complete, all that you have destined for us, with joy. We declare that as the redeemed of the Lord that all that we lay our hands on shall be completed with in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen. June 2005 - Monthly Online WORD
